History
The restaurant takes its name from the old nickname for Nikolaj Plads which, in the 19 th century, was home to the city’s butchers’ market. This was popularly known as the “Maven”, which is the Danish word for “stomach”.
The butchers’ stalls may have gone but the informal charm is still here.

Cholon by Lâm Lê focuses on small selections of ever-changing quality dishes, inspired by Vietnamese and South East Asian cooking.
You can enjoy the dishes and feel the vibes in-house, on the terrace or as take-away to eat in the sunshine wherever takes your fancy.
